What You Need To Know Before You Start

  • That an OPAC is an online index to all the materials in a library (OPAC stands for Online Public Access Catalog).
  • You must log in to the HS OPAC Destiny and the Twp. Library's OPAC to use all of its features. Destiny-use your ID number for Login and PW and the Twp. Library -use your Library card number.
  • Access PA--search the entire state to get results from libraries in neighboring counties, Delaware and Chester.
  • The searchable fields in an OPAC are: author, title, subjects, series, and keywords (words in all the previously mentioned fields as well as the contents and book summaries).
  • You need a Twp. Library Card to search for and read ebooks on NetLibrary from home--it is from Power Library.
